50th Anniversary Campaign Goal Met:
Thank you for laying the groundwork for our next 50 years!

PPNNE proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. This tremendous milestone marked 50 years of providing expert care, honest answers, and unwavering vigilance to the northern New England women, men, and teens

Five years ago, we set out on an ambitious endeavor to raise $25 million to help transform PPNNE. We could not have possibly known then the twists and turns before us, but we knew we had a strong vision, an obligation to our patients, and the support of so many loyal friends—like you.  We are heartened and thrilled to share that we successfully met and exceeded our 50th Anniversary Campaign goal with $25,830,475 raised by December 31, 2015, with the additional support helping to offset the unforeseen challenges and attacks of this past year. Whether you made a special stretch gift or you are one of the more than 15,000 individuals who made generous annual gifts that supported our day-to-day operations and services during the course of the campaign, our sincerest and most heartfelt appreciation goes out to you!

Your incredible support of the 50th Anniversary Campaign helped lay the groundwork, but our vision is far from complete. We envision a world where women get to choose if, when and how many children to have—an important factor in maternal and child health, educational and professional attainment, and in creating pathways out of poverty. Yet, we continue to struggle with the fact that nearly half of all pregnancies are unintended.  This creates challenges women and their families, for public health, and for the financial impact it has on our states.health center

We will do better.  We have the tools, knowledge, expertise and research at our fingertips to create a public health-level impact. We are partnering with the Vermont Department of Health to develop a replicable model that strives to reduce the unintended pregnancy rate to 35% by 2020, the state’s Healthy Vermonters 2020 goal.  We will bring that work to New Hampshire and Maine in parallel.

We look forward to opportunities to share our vision in more detail with you. In the meanwhile,  please join us in celebrating this incredible success!
